This dry red is one of the most classic and well-known wines of Piedmont. It is created from grapes of the vine of the same name; during the harvest period these are among the last to be gathered. It matures in concrete tanks and is sometimes aged in oak barrels. It has a soft bouquet with a characteristic intense aroma.
